Booking a class/series of classes/workshop/walk on-line – the payment is non-refundable (unless Athenae/Dog Star Training cancels the event/activity).

Your dog should not show any reactivity or aggression towards people or other dogs when attending classes. If your dog has shown any signs of aggression you must inform Jane Williams/instructor at the time of registration, so that appropriate precautions can be taken to ensure the safety of all the people and dogs taking part in the class.

Please note - Evidence of vaccination is required at start of classes for each puppy.

Covid precautions – At Athenae Ltd. (and as Dog Star Training) we follow Government guidelines for human safety. We follow the HANDS-FACE-SPACE rules and will use our best judgement to continue to reduce the risk of transmission. Anyone who has Covid symptoms, has come into contact with someone with Covid or been identified through the NHS App as at risk must follow guidance and rules to prevent the spread of the disease.
What to wear - Owners need to wear suitable shoes e.g. trainers or running shoes and comfortable loose clothing – flip-flops are not safe as footwear. When outdoors, dress appropriately for the weather.

Feeding - Recommended that you feed half the normal meal before class as treats will be used as rewards throughout the classes.

Treats - Training treats (very small food pieces) can be used. Owners should bring a selection of treats (e.g. normal dried food, chicken, cheese, hotdog or sausages) and a favourite toy to reward their dog during training. Treats must be included as part of the calorie intake in the dog’s diet. Either the dog’s normal dried food should be used so that no extra food is given, or if treats are used, there should be a reduction in the meals given, to ensure that the dog does not put on weight.

Neither Athenae Ltd, (or as Dog Star Training), or any person acting on behalf of the Company accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to dogs, handlers, spectators or any other persons or property whatsoever.

Photographs and recordings may be taken for educational and publicity purposes. All video and broadcast rights are the exclusive property of Athenae Ltd as the parent company of Dog Star Training.

Owners/handlers are responsible for the conduct of their dog at all times. Owners/handlers are responsible for the conduct of any children brought to training sessions under the age of 18 years.

Owners are responsible for picking up any dog mess and for disposing of it as advised, or by taking it away from the venue for proper disposal. No dog mess should be left uncollected on site. It must only be put into designated containers as directed, to ensure the health and safety of all users of the venue.
